  I was so excited to see one of my favorite young stars in MARIE CLAIRE's style resume this month! we all know her talent from girl with the dragon tattoo and social network, but what always catches my eye is her romantic, laid back girlish style. It seems off screen, every thing this starlet dons has a story. A wise, old story ~but off the lips of a young princess.
  Not just the framework is lovely! When we say 'its whats inside that counts', this is exactly what we mean!! Talk about going outta your way to help... After an organized volunteer program didn't seem as fruitful as she had hoped, Mara knew she could do more. Within a year the 'girl with the dragon tattoo' became a heroin in her own right. Faces of Kibera was founded by 25 year old philanthro~chic Miss Rooney, providing Kenyan orphans a chance of a lifetime. Faces of Kibera gets right down to business by opening orphanages and providing education, nutrition, clean water and a brighter future to young girls. Let me stress this... we thought for sure our new website would launch by the end of october. sadly, with some phooey sick bugs goin around... we had a hard time putting finishing touches on all our little projects! some of us, our big projects! since it looks like it'll be a couple weeks out now, i thought i would give everyone a heads up and a little sneak peak at whats in store.

a windy little warm front came through this afternoon! our 'doll up for fall' look is our favorite today! a tiered soft flannel baby doll, a restructured silk ruffled blouse, worn and tattered leather hat to hide our wind blown 'do and rugged boots are whats in order!
